Obsessions of the Month!

Hi Cuties!

Sorry for not posting for a while... I didn't know what to write about (◕﹏◕✿). So to make up for it, I decided to make an extra long post about my Obsessions of the Month (instead of week). It is split into two parts - Entertainment and

MUSIC - Stolen Dance by Milky Chance

I first heard this song on MTV, and instantly I loved it! The artist, Milky Chance, brings a great song with his unique voice!

MANGA - Strobe Edge by Io Sakisaka

What is Manga?
Manga (漫画 Manga) are comics created in Japan, or by Japanese creators in the Japanese language, conforming to a style developed in Japan in the late 19th century. They have a long and complex pre-history in earlier Japanese art. (From Wikipedia)

From the same writer and illustrator as Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride, アオハライド), Strobe Edge (ストロボ・エッジ) is about 15-year-old Ninako Kinoshita, who has never been in love until an encounter on the train with her school's most popular boy, the quiet Ren Ichinose. As she grows closer to Ren, she falls in love with him, but must learn to cope with the unfortunate fact that Ren already has a longtime girlfriend.

Released: 2007
Genre: Romance, Shoujo, Drama, School Life, Slice of Life
Author: Sakisaka Io
Illustrator: Sakisaka Io

Ren and Ninako are so CUUUUUUTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEE. I love the characters and the plot is very well written. It is a MUST read if you like romance shoujo manga!

ANIME - Otome Youkai Zakuro

What is Anime?
A style of Japanese film and television animation, typically aimed at adults as well as children.

The modernization of Japan has begun. The Ministry of Spirit Affairs is established to resolve mysterious incidents involving the nation’s spirits. This ministry consists of representatives from both the human and spirit worlds: Zakuro, Susukihotaru, Bonbori, and Hozuki are all half-spirits who have been partnered with the second lieutenants Kei, Riken, and Ganryu. These half-spirit girls and the male second lieutenants are all assigned to Spirit Affairs in an effort to join forces and carry out any tasks given to them! (Edited from MyAnimeList)

Genre: Historical, Romance, Supernatural, Seinen,
Episodes: 13
Aired: Oct 5, 2010 to Dec 28, 2010

Ahhhh... The romance is so sweet! I love the art and the anime is quite creative in the story plot. This anime is short and 'on-point' so I recommend you to watch it in the weekend!

TV Show - Sherlock

John Watson: doctor, soldier, war hero, lost soul. Fresh from fighting the war in Afghanistan, a chance encounter brings him into the world of Sherlock Holmes: loner, detective, genius.
The two men couldn't be more different, but Sherlocks inspired leaps of intellect coupled with Johns pragmatism soon forge an unbreakable alliance. Across three, 90 minute, thrilling, scary, action-packed and highly entertaining television movies, Sherlock and John navigate a maze of cryptic clues and lethal killers to get at the truth. The worlds favourite detective has come out of the fog.  (Edited from JB HiFi's Description)

Genre: Drama, Mystery, Crime

Asdfjkl this is my favourtie TV show this year! I also love that Sherlock is not just all about mystery. Friendship and romance intertwined in the crime drama. Sherlock is a MUST watch if you are fan of mystery.

Snack - Digestives Milk Chocolate Biscuits

I LOVE these biscuits. They have a really nice flavour and they are great with milk of a chocolate drink.

Just Leisure - Popin' Cookin/ Happy Kitchen and Cupcake Images

I have no idea why I like to search up cute cupcakes. I guess it's a weird hobby. Anyway, here are my favourites:

I got quite distracted from the book I was reading when my sister started playing people creating with popin' cookin' kits on YouTube. 3 hours later, we were going through a person's channel, making sure we have watched every single Popin' Cookin' video.

What is Popin' Cookin/ Happy Kitchen?
Popin' Cookin' and Happy Kitchen are series of Do-It-Yourself candy kits by the Japanese manufacturer Kracie. To make the gummy sweets you mix special powders with water and let the mixture dry in special molds, so you can create the craziest shapes and have gummy candy that looks like mini sushi, hamburgers or Ramen soup, but tastes like candy. It is fully edible and suitable for children. (edited from squidoo.com)

Here are a few of my favourites!

Book - Unwind by Neal Shusterman

This is one of my favourite books this year! I love the story plot, the characters, and how though it is a science fiction novel, it is something that I could actually imagine happening.

Author: Neal Shusterman
Genre: Science Fiction, Adventure, Biopunk
Release Date: November 6th 2007

Synopsis:

Connor, Risa, and Lev are running for their lives.

The Second Civil War was fought over reproductive rights. The chilling resolution: Life is inviolable from the moment of conception until age thirteen. Between the ages of thirteen and eighteen, however, parents can have their child "unwound," whereby all of the child's organs are transplanted into different donors, so life doesn't technically end. Connor is too difficult for his parents to control. Risa, a ward of the state is not enough to be kept alive. And Lev is a tithe, a child conceived and raised to be unwound. Together, they may have a chance to escape and to survive. (From Goodreads)
